Upoznavanje studenata sa aktuelnim istraživačkim pravcima u logistici železničkog transporta.

Usvajanjem sadržaja predmeta studenti će biti osposobljeni da prate savremene trendove u ovladavanju veštinama planiranja, obavljanja i vođenja istraživačkog rada u cilju unapređenja železničkog transporta na logističkim principima.

Aktuelne teme iz oblasti istraživanja transportnih potreba i zahteva, predviđanja i planiranja transporta robe i putnika železnicom, unapređenja kvaliteta transportne usluge, upravljanja tokovima kola, planiranja strukture transportnih sredstava, razvoja i implementacije novih tehnologija u transportu robe i putnika, modeliranja organizacione strukture železničkih operatera, modeliranja transportnih troškova, konstrukcije železničkih tarifa, definisanja transportne politike.

Prikaz rešenja aktuelnih problema teorijskim metodama, analiza metoda i rešenja izabranih publikovanih optimizacija u literaturi, studijski istraživački rad studenta.
