Kovačević R. Srđan was born in Novi Sad on December 13, 1983. He graduated from the Elementary School "Žarko Zrenjanin" and the Gymnasium "Laza Kostić" in Novi Sad. He enrolled at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad in 2002, and in 2008 he obtained the title of environmental engineer - master, with an average grade of 8.83, during his studies at the Department of Environmental Engineering and Occupational Health anad Safety. He defended his master's thesis entitled "Wastewater Treatment System of the Oil Refinery in Novi Sad" with a grade of 10. He enrolled in the doctoral academic studies in the school year 2007/2008., at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad at the study program Environmental Engineering and passed all exams provided by the study program with an average grade of 10. He defended his doctorate entitled "Analysis of Groundwater Self-Purification Potential for Removal of Pharmaceuticals Applying River Bank Filtration Method" in 2017. , under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Milan Dimkić. In the period between 2008-2011. He was hired as a Scholar of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, and since 2011 he has been employed as a researcher at the Department of Environmental Engineering and Occupational Health and Safety and was engaged in two projects "Treatment and quality of meat industry wastewater and determination of the presence of emerging substances in order to reduce contamination of watercourses "(subproject within Project III46009 and the project in cooperation with the Institute of Water Management" Jaroslav Cerni "," Methodology for assessment, design and maintenance of groundwater sources in alluvial environments depending on degree of aerobicity) He has participated in over 15 international projects and projects of cooperation with the economy.
At the Department of Environmental Engineering and Occupational Health and Safety, he has been engaged since 2010 in the implementation of teaching in one subject of basic academic studies - Basic Principles of Water Management, as well as in two subjects in master's academic studies: Use, protection and management of groundwater and River basin management. He is the author and co-author of more than 70 papers, of which 10 papers in journals from the ISI list.
