Dr. Nemanja Stanisavljevic is an Associate Professor of waste and resource management at the Department of Environmental Engineering, University of Novi Sad (Serbia). He finished his PhD at University of Novi Sad with cooperation of Vienna University of Technology (2013). His research interests lie in the fields of waste management, development and application of material flow analysis in waste management and urban system analysis, environmental system analysis, decision support, development of waste management systems and systematic approaches in supporting of environmental management in transition and developing countries. In 2015, he received the Fulbright Visiting Scholarship for postdoctoral research at the North Carolina State University, USA. His postdoctoral research resulted in publication in one of the most prestige scientific journal “Journal of Industrial Ecology”, issued by the Yale University. Besides academic carrier advancement, the scholarship offered to Dr. Nemanja a great opportunity to get insight into practice of waste management and waste to resource in US. As an expert and employee of the main scientific and educational environmental and waste management institution in Serbia for 15 years, He was engaged in more than 100 national, regional and international environmental and waste management projects. Dr. Stanisavljevic is an Associate Editor of Waste Management & Research scientific journal published by ISWA (International Solid Waste Association) and from 2015 visiting professor at Vienna University of Technology.
