He was born on July 9, 1982 in Sr. Mitrovica, R. Serbia. He finished primary and secondary school in Ruma.

He graduated on the Faculty of Technical Sciences - Department of Civil Engineering in 2006, with the Master thesis "Assessment of the condition and rehabilitation of the load-bearing reinforced concrete structure of the house of culture after the fire", and defended his doctoral dissertation entitled "Comparative analysis of the basic properties of structural concrete made with different types of lightweight aggregates" on April 9, 2015 at the Faculty of Technical Sciences.

He has been working at the FTN since 2007 and has passed all teaching titles from teaching associates to associate professors in 2020. Participates as teacher at all levels of study, in three study programs, Civil Engineering, Architecture and Risk Management of Catastrophic Events and Fire.

As an author or co-author, he has published more than 70 papers in journals and Proceedings of scientific and professional conferences. He has also published four papers in leading international journals. The area of interest covers a wide range of topics in the field of civil engineering, and primarily relate to research into the application of new building materials, improving the properties of different types of concrete composites, especially the use of recycled and waste materials. A large number of papers refer to the assessment of the condition of existing buildings damaged by the fires, bombings, aggressive substances, atmospheric influences, etc. IArea of interest are, also, problems related to the classification of damage to reinforced concrete structures and the choice of methods and materials for the repair and increase of durability of reinforced concrete structures of engineering structures.

He realized part of his research and works as a researcher on 4 national and 4 international scientific research projects:
• TR 36017: Research on the possibility of using waste and recycled materials in concrete composites, with an environmental impact assessment, in order to promote sustainable construction in Serbia (2011-2019, head: Prof. Dr. Vlastimir Radonjanin)
• III 42012: Improving the energy efficiency of buildings in Serbia and improving national regulatory capacity for their certification (2011-2019, Head: Prof. Dr. Dragoslav Šumarac)
• TR 16004: Research of modern concrete composites based on domestic raw materials, with special reference to the possibilities of using concrete with recycled aggregate in concrete structures (2008-2010, supervisor: Prof. Dr. Vlastimir Radonjanin)
• TR 16018: Development of models for maintenance and interventions on buildings and roads (2010-2012, head: Prof. Dr. Radomir Folić)
• Eureka Project "LIGHT-WASTE": Development of Lightweight Aggregate from Waste Material and Further Processing into Thermal Insulation Concrete (2010-2012, head: Prof. Dr. Miroslav Radek)
• COST C25: Sustainability of Constructions: Integrated Approach to Life-time Structural Engineering (2007-2009, supervisor: Prof. Dr. Snežana Marinković)

As part of his work at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad, he participated in many field and laboratory tests of various materials and structures. He works on standard and non-standard tests of a wide range of materials with an emphasis on construction materials. Participates in the inspection, testing and rehabilitation of buildings, including complex engineering structures such as bridges, silos, etc. As a designer or Responsible Designer, he participated in the development of 100+ projects for construction, rehabilitation, reconstruction or energy rehabilitation of all categories of buildings. During his study visit, he worked on assessment of the condition, rehabilitation and maintenance of facilities, and  gave a lecture at one of the largest companies in the United States in the field (Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc.)

He won the award for the best doctoral dissertation in the period 2014-2017. awarded by the Society for Testing and Research of Materials and Structures of Serbia for outstanding achievements in the field of materials research and the Charter "Ivan Mamuzic" for outstanding results in the field of construction, achieved in scientific, professional, design or construction work, awarded by the Society of Civil Engineers of Novi Sad .

He holds a license of responsible designer in the field of construction (310) and a license of responsible designer in the field of energy efficiency in buildings (381).
