Prof. Veselin Perovic, Ph.D. was born in Peć in 1957 where he finished primary and grammar school.
He graduated from Faculty of Economics in Dubrovnik in 1982 defending his graduation thesis: Positive and Negative Effects of Purchasing Licenses in Yugoslav Economy. He completed postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad, in the field of expertise on investment management, and defended the specialist thesis: Fundamentals of Controlling Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in 2003; at the same Faculty in 2004 he defended his master's thesis: Fundamentals of Controlling Small and Medium-sized Companies with a Focus on Operational and Strategic Controlling with an average grade 9.11 of all master's studies. Finally, he defended PhD thesis Development of a Model of Controlling in Industrial Systems in 2006 at the Faculty of Technical Sciences.
He also specialized abroad at the Controller Akademie in Germany in 2008 and 2009 where he obtained controllers diploma, and gained the position of the instructor of controlling. From 2014 he is a Certified Controlling Trainer of Controller Akademie A.G. In Austria (2002) he completed a six-month training in Management of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises. In Italy (2003) he finished the specialization Management of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises at the training center of Bologna University.
Work experience: 1985-89 he worked in Concern Rade Koncar, Zagreb, Factory in Novi Sad (330 employees) as a Manager of the Department for Plan and Analysis. From 1989-91 in EI Bull HN (Bull Italy), he works as Independent marketing system engineer for sales activities. From 1991-93 CMS Ltd, Belgrade, he is a Manager for sales activities (computer engineering), for Vojvodina region. From 2004 he is a Manager in Rodacomm Ltd, Novi Sad, Controlling and consulting services. From 2006 he works as university professor at Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad. Since 2003 he delivers lectures on controlling at many Faculties by invitation.
He has published dozens of academic articles in International journals. He is author of the book "Controlling" (2007), co-author of the book "Econimika Moderna"(2004),"Manual for investments" (2008), "Managerial Accounting"(2010), "Business Finance" (2010), "Accounting for managers" (2013), "Financial Controlling" Haufe, Freiburg - Germany (2014) "Finance Management for managers" (2015). "Controlling – the basics" (2016).
In academic year 2006/07, he was elected Assistant Professor at the University of Novi Sad Faculty of Technical Sciences, at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management. In 2011/12 he became Associate Professor, and in February 2017 Full Professor. At undergraduate and master studies he delivers lectures in several subjects such as Financial Management, Operational Audit and Controlling; at professional specialist studies he is the initiator and lecturer on the following subjects: The Basics of Controlling, Controlling Planning and Reporting. At PhD studies he delivers lectures on the subject Strategic Controlling.
He speaks English, German, Italian and Albanian language.
