Course is active from 25.08.2017..

Acquiring professional knowledge and training students to prepare, plan and control production, that is to say, prepare, plan and control material and information flows within the production process, through provision of appropriate resources, certain quality at the right time and necessary quantities with minimal cost. In addition, the goal is to master the skills for building business plans of enterprises, as well as to apply information and communication technologies within the course field.
After successfully completing this course, a student is able to: Define and describe the role and tasks of production preparation, planning and logistics in a production system; Analyze and evaluate manufacturability of product design and define potential improvements in product design and manufacturing technology; Apply multi-criteria optimization methods for selection and evaluation of products, manufacturing processes and resources; Define basic elements of a production system (production program, production processes, types of manufacturing flows, production resources and their norms, etc.), perform resource allocation and design of manufacturing plant; Identify and define basic elements for production planning, scheduling, launching and monitoring; Describe basic elements of business planning and write a draft of business plan for one production enterprise; Apply CAx systems from the course field.

Classes are held in the forms of lectures and exercises. Theoretical part of the course with typical examples from practice is represented on the lectures. Laboratory and auditory exercises are intended for applying the acquired knowledge through specific examples and work on the available equipment. Students are trained to apply information and communication technologies from the course material on computer exercises. For the purpose of extending practical knowledge, company visits are organized. Consultations are held regularly in order to bring course material closer to the development and fulfillment of required tasks and papers. Colloquium refers to the theoretical part of the exam, while the written part considers work on solving corresponding tasks.
