General information:

Category Scientific-professional
Scientific or art field
  • Inženjerstvo informacionih sistema
  • Mehatronika, robotika i automatizacija i integrisani sistemi
ECTS 5

Objective is to enable students to master fundamentals of industrial robotics and robot’s integration into production information system.

The outcome is knowledge of fundamentals of industrial robotics and integration with other industrial systems.

Definitions, homogenous transformations, robot kinematics (direct and inverse problem), Denavit-Hartenberg notation, Jacobean, synthesis of trajectories, robot programming, sensors in robotics and their application, application of robots in industrial tasks, communication protocols in industrial robotics and integration with the other industrial systems.

Classes are realized as lectures and practical classes. Within practical classes, students are required to solve five practical problems (as homeworks) with real industrial robot. Practical classes are realized in RobotStudio developmental environment and before solving homework problems students are getting familiar with RobotStudio. First homework assignment is to program a robot to write the name of the student. Second, third and fourth assignments are related to programming the robot for executing some of the most common robotized tasks in industry, such as palletization, painting, milling etc. Fifth homework assignment is dealing with establishing communication between robot controller and third party software (i.e. production information system) for logging and storing the relevant data for future reporting. Each homework is presented and should be defended. After that students are allowed to take examination (written assignment first and then the final exam). The final examination is based on test and consider only theoretical questions.
