Development of the ability to think, articulate and design space of different types of architectural structures, of the lower to middle level of complexity, with a special emphasis on the establishment of the architectural programmes of these structures, within the identified contextual background. Development of the ability for critical thinking and work. Development of the ability to identify, analyze and interpret various and ambiguous influences onto architectural work.
Ability to understand and interpret the complex and ambiguous contextual influences on the architectural design that is emerging; ability to deal with all stages of the process of designing public buildings; the ability to understand the theoretical framework of contemporary practice and its interpretations; the ability to critically reflect and create a personal design framework in relation to design theme.
Design process for public buildings; the contextual background of architectural work - the array of influences, their identification, understanding and interpretation; conceptualization and spatial layout of architectural idea; critical thinking and valorization of architectural work; programmatic basis of architecture and functions of architectural work; basic technological aspects in the materialization of architecture. Specifics of NURBS modeling of lines and surfaces; modeling of linear, surface and volume elements; modeling in Rhinoceros 3D and application in architectural and urban design; application of the Rhinoceros 3D advantages in the model adjustment for digital fabrication.
