Development of scientific abilities, academic and practical skills in the field of sustainable design and product safety. Achieving the ability to independently evaluate contemporary results and achievements in this area, in order to improve and create new research models.
Basic knowledge of sustainable design and product safety. Ability to independently solve practical and theoretical problems using the most advanced scientific methods in the field of sustainable design and product safety. Gaining creative abilities with the aim of further development and application in practice, relevant techniques for improve of product safety and namely safety of the end user / consumer.
Sustainable development. Introduction to sustainable production. Design for Sustainability. Benefits of sustainable design. Sustainability and corporate social responsibility. The main drivers of change in the market in order to introduce the concept of sustainable design as a standard concept. The designer's field guide to sustainability. Designing safety (security) in the product. Environmentally friendly materials and their use in sustainable product design. Design & Manage product life cycle, TRIZ methodology in sustainable design and provision of safety products.
Lectures, study research work and consultations. The lectures provide a theoretical part of the material using modern equipment and information and communication technologies. Through lectures, a student acquires and mastered contemporary scientific knowledge, scientific methods and procedures that enable him to become independent research work. In addition to lectures, consultations are also held regularly. Study research work includes all forms of teaching that are in the function of directly training a student for research, writing scientific papers and making a doctoral dissertation. Study research work includes active monitoring of primary scientific sources, organization and execution of numerical simulations and experimental research.
