Educational goal:

In-depth understanding, interpretation and critical analysis of the key terms, phenomena and approaches within the complex interdisciplinary field of scene design, as well as development of synthesic thought about scene design.

Educational outcome:

Students’ proficient ability to individually and in a group do a research on various theoretical approaches and ideas in the area of scene design, as well as to apply acquired abilities in their own reserach and art work.

Course content:

Term scenography in Serbian language; relation towards terms set design, stage design, theatre design in English. Term scenography in English language. Term scenography expanded; relation towards term scene design. Scene architecture and scene space; relation towards terms performance design and performing space. Scene design in theatre. Scene design outside theatre. Scene design as art. Artistic practices of scene design. Curatorial practices of scene design.
