To acquire basic knowledge on the importance and role of freight forwarding in a country`s industrial system, as well as in the realization of international freight flows; also, to learn about technology on the realization of basic and special forwarding jobs.

Meaning, importance and role of freight forwarding.Historical development. Classification of freight forwarding companies. Internal organization in forwarding companies. Cooperation, unions and associations in forwarding industry. National legislations and freight forwarding role. Transport conventions. Transport insurance. Customs system and customs brockerage. Simplified customs procedures, AEO. Incoterms 2010. Tariffs important for freight forwarding industry. Transport chains design. Technology of main forwarding activities realized in goods import, export and transit and additional activities. Information and documents flows in international shipping.
Lectures and practice, computer practice, visit to a company, elaboration, presentation and defence of seminar paper.
