Aim is to teach students to be able to understand and to design the architecture and safety critical software for automotive industry, and also to have a solid basic knowledge about several key concepts and standards necessary for understanding the safety aspect in automotive industry.
After successfully attending the course, students will be capable to understand architecture and methods for designing the safety critical automotive software and to write simple programs that run in such environment.
1. Introduction: component-based SW development, overview of automotive software developments processes (from requirements to testing) 2. The basics of AUTOSAR: Concepts, Architecture, Methodology, Building Elements a. RTE-Runtime Environment, b. BSW-Basic Program Support, c. SWC-Programming Support Components, d. VFB-Virtual Functional Bus 3. AUTOSAR: Migration Modes 4. AUTOSAR-Practical Considerations: a. Operating Systems, b. Software Components, c. Communication, d. Handling of the Input/Output, e. Handling of States, f. System Services and Memory, g. Diagnostics. 5. Basics of the development of safe automotive software with focus on ISO 26262 and basic requirements a. safety management, b. concept development, c. system development.
