Educational goal:

Introduction of students into the basics of design of Web sites and Web application. Training consists of introduction to technologies, network protocols, design rules as well as law regulations. Students are trained to develop, setup and maintain web sites.

Educational outcome:

Students obtain skills for design of web site, which is one of key ways of presenting their accomplishments in industry of computer animation. This also enables them to have wider use of skills received through studies of Computer graphics.

Course content:

During first educational unit students are introduced to basic technologies used in development of Web sites (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Second educational unit studies modern libraries which accelerate or make easier development of web sites (such as JQuery, Bootstrap and others). Third educational unit consists of technological, esthetical, design, practical, legal ad ethical aspects of development web site. Students obtain practical knowledge of development of web site by designing their own web site, with constant monitoring and counseling through exercises. Through exercises, students are better introduced to technologies themselves, and they are used on series of practical examples. During the exercises students analyze successful web sites for better understanding with state of industry.

Teaching methods:

Auditory lectures and computer exercises. Grade is formed based on attendance, results of two project tasks, and final exam.
