Educational goal:
Introducing students with different types of gear drives. machine elements in agricultural machinery. Training for self-construction of gear drives within the machine systems.
Educational outcome:
The acquired knowledge will be practically applied in the field.
Course content:
Introduction, Mechanical gearboxes, Basic parameters of mechanical drives, Basic characteristics of gear drives, Construction Types of Universal Gear Units, The Ways of Mounting, Installation Positions, Number of stages, Single-Stage Gearboxes, Two-Stage Gears, Three-Stage Gearboxes, Multistage Gear Units, Special Requirements, Installation of One Direction Brake, Installation of Electric Motor Carrier, Installation of Special Components, Spur and Helical Gear Drives, Bevel Gear Drives, Worm Gear Drives, Calculation of Gear Units, Exploitation of Gear Units, Service, Lubrication, Gear Unit Maintenance, Defective, Repair, Common Failure and Failure Analysis, Recycling.
Teaching methods:
Lectures, practical, graphic and computational exercises and workshops. Parts of the material that make logical sections shall be in the form of three tests, writing assignments and theory. Colloquia are part of it, but the theory is calculated as the oral and written tasks such. If a student does not pass through the tests exam, then the exam is to just those who did not pass the preliminary exams during classes. Rating exam is based on attendance of lectures and exercises, reviews of graphic work and success in tests and exams.
