The aim of the course is to Sudent learn to manage IT projects, that is. software development project as a specific group, and to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to launch and manage projects to improve business operations by using modern information technology (IT). Through case shows how complex IT projects can be effectively planned, implemented and monitored, which tools and methods are used in different stages of development of IT structure and how it all into practice. Master of Engineering Management must be trained in the use of methodologies and tools and is familiar with the problems and risks of IT projects due to the increasing dependence of business processes of IT structures.

After completing this course, students will be introduced to the basic concepts, processes, controls and methods (agile project management, Scrum, MSF ...) that are used in procedures for managing IT projects and trained to participate in projects and project management in the field of IT.

Techniques and approaches to project management. Development and application of IT in enterprises structure. Review of international standards in the areas of project management, the development of IT and information security. Project management methodology development based on IT. Analysis of the processes and structure of the company. Nonlinear agile development and structure of the company. Functional decomposition system using IDEF0 methodology. Agile project management. Scrum methodology. PRINCE2 methodology. MSF (Microsoft Solutions Framework) agile design methods. MSF team model. MSF process model. The basic modules of the ERP system. Customer Relationship Management - CRM. Models and methods for managing IT risk.

The method of teaching is based on the multimedia lectures and computer exercises. In lectures explaining the basic models and theoretical approaches, and specific examples showing the application of acquired knowledge. Exercises in computer classes are conducted in an interactive form through the use of modeling tools.
