Educational goal:

Student will be able to use the basic financial statements; balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement. In teching process will be used; Du Pont system indicators, Altman model as well as theKralicek model.

Educational outcome:

Enabling students to understand the role and importance of financial controlling and controlling instruments in terms of the environment and organization as management tool.

Course content:

History of the concept of controlling. Controlling generation. Concept of controlling. The tasks of controlling the attitude towards management. The principles, structures and controlling instruments. The importance of planning, operational and strategic planning. Indicators which are used in controlling. Application of the concept of controlling the different areas of business. Basic financial statements; balance sheet, profit and loss acount, Cash Flow Statement. The institutional aspect of controlling. Development of reports controllers (practical example). Techniques of presentation of controller’s report. The prospect of controlling development. Offering controlling service.

Teaching methods:

Lectures on the subject are auditory nature with the theoretical study of case studies. A number of lectures are delivered by guest lecturers in order to transfer different experiences from practice. Exercises are interactive by using of case studies from various fields of industry and teamwork in the form of creative workshops.
