Educational goal:
Introducing and analysis of modern instruments of internal audit of business process, i.e. operational audit. The aim of the course is the integration of the management skills and process approach with the instruments of the operational audit aimed towards their improvement.
Educational outcome:
After the course and passed exam students will be able to identify, record and analyze business processes on their own as well as to give suggestions for the improvement of business processes. Students will also be able to identify flow of business documents, to realize internal operational audit, to report about audit of business process and to give recommendations in order to reduce failures that might increase risks of realization of process' aims.
Course content:
Theoretical background about organizations, business functions and processes; Introduction to operational auditing; Consideration of business flows according activities. Recording of business processes; The book of business processes; Setting of auditing tracks; Evaluation of level of integration of business processes; Identification of failure and weaknesses of business flows; Suggestions for improvement of tracking of business flows. Tracking of process indicators through the survey by activities; Reintegration of business activities in the system of internal monitoring; Creating procedures of business activities; Risk assessment and business risks' management; Operational auditor's report and proposals for implementation of strategic instruments of management. Preparing case study of operational auditing.
