Subject: Internationalization of Entrepreneurship (17.IM2225 )
The goal of this course is to acquire basic knowledge in the area of internationalization of an entrepreneurial undertaking from the investment and business perspectives. A special emphasis is on introducing the terminology and institutional support to the industry in order to define a framework for business valuation. Risk assessment of the internationalization of an entrepreneurial undertaking is performed with the purpose of delivering efficient, strategic decision-making for entrepreneurs and investors.
The students who complete this course will be knowledgeable with respect to the complexity of financing sources for new ideas, i.e., entrepreneurial undertakings, while keeping in mind the challenges of business internationalization and globalization. In addition, the students will be able to identify key business and financing factors, to generate business plans for new entrepreneurial undertakings and to validate investment activities, to select the most viable financing alternative, and also to rely on the acquired skills in further professional work and development.
Development of a financing framework; development of an entrepreneurial undertaking; cash flow and risk dynamics in early stages of an entrepreneurial undertaking; determining capital levels and investment plan; funds' structure and investment risk; validation of an entrepreneurial undertaking in early stages; negotiating financing terms; internationalization of an entrepreneurial undertaking; allocation of control between founders/management and investors.
