The objective of the course is to master the basic knowledge in the field of digital image processing that enables the student to independently process images in the context of multimedia management. The aim of the course is that B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management acquires competencies for the application of digital imaging tools in management of multimedia projects.

Students will be able for digital image processing in order to adjust the image to multimedia products. B.Sc. in Engineering Management acquires the competencies for digital image processing in the context of preparing the image for press, Internet, digital television and multimedia applications in industry.

Introduction. Image editing. Digital image editing for media. Raster and vector image. Resolution and image size. Color Depth. Light, color and display. Color systems. Color profiles. Formats of images. Digital image editing tools. Image analysis. Image Manipulation. Visual Effects. Image corrections. Preparing a image for multimedia. Multimedia project management.

Teaching on the course includes lectures and exercises with examples of digital image processing in the media. During the semester the student is obliged to do a project where he will apply the acquired knowledge in the field of digital image processing. The entire exercise takes place with the help of computers.
