The goal of course is to prepare students for the development and design of production systems, defining their characteristics, design manufacturing processes that take place in them. Students will acquire the tools for the design of the system structure and work processes. During the program, students will acquire the knowledge necessary to determine the spatial distribution of the elements of the system as a way of selecting the macro and micro sites.
Students will be prepared to design and develop a manufacturing system, will be able to recognize and understand the importance of production and products as the core purpose of the production system and the basic definitions of energy support systems functioning. Through lectures, exercises and practical work, students will gain knowledge of the company as a whole integrated production and other functions of the system and the flows of materials, energy and information.
Basic elements of production systems; Development conditions of production systems; Product and production program; Process and system capacity; Creation of material flows; Individual approach in flow design; Group approach in shaping flows; General model of material flows; Balancing the flows in the system; Formation of flows in service systems; Designing the structure of production systems; Process approach in structuring structures; The subject approach in shaping structures; Basic substrates for structuring structures; Determination of System Elements; Designing the spatial structure of the system; Designing energy flows; Determination of energy needs; Designing energy structures; Location of production systems; Determining the location of the system in a narrower and wider sense; Outsourcing functions or processes to another location or to another production system; Conditions for relocation, delegating responsibilities and competencies, managing work processes; Organization's willingness to accept modern technological solutions; Simulation of production systems. Practical teaching; Discussions on practical examples of production systems of developed countries and countries in the area of ??system structure analysis; Creating the subject project in the real system; interactive work and acquiring knowledge in laboratory conditions.
Oral presentation, written hand outs for practical classes, laboratory work and visits to modern business systems.
