The main goal of the course is to introduce basic concepts of game theory and strategic decision making. Originating from processes in real life situations, the theory finds numerous applications in economics, political science, psychology and logic. For that reason, the suggested topics may be of interest from both theoretical and practical aspect.

Learning the concept of a game, rational behavior and strategy, as well as their main properties. Understanding the connections between the real life situations and their game-theoretic models. Knowing how to recognize several frequently occurring game settings, what tools can be used for respective games, and how to analyze them.

Combinatorial games, Nim, operations on games. Game tree, rational behavior, strategy, symmetric games, dominance. Nash equilibrium. Bayesian games. Mixed strategies, mixed equilibria, degenerate games, zero-sum games. Extensive games. Behavior strategies. Bargaining.
