The aim of the course is to master the basic knowledge of risk analysis and information security in order to comprehensively protect the confidentiality of information systems (companies). The main goal of the course is for the master information security engineer to acquire competencies for managing information security threats to the system, which means: - Threat identification - Vulnerability analysis - Defining impacts and assessing the probability of their occurrence - Planning activities to minimize the impact and likelihood of potential threats and system vulnerabilities.

Students will be trained to apply advanced statistical and mathematical methods for the purposes of Risk Analysis and Information Security.

Introducttion. Information Security Challenges in Industry 4.0. Risk and information security analysis. Risk identification. Risk monitoring. SWOT analysis and information security. Risk forecasting. Advanced risk assessment methods. Risk management. Examples of good practice.

Course includes lectures and computer exercises. During the semester, the student is required to do a project where he will apply the acquired knowledge in the field of risk analysis and information security.
