The aim of the course Selected chapters from the automation of the work process is to master the knowledge of automation used in production and service systems and to introduce students into research problems. The objective of the course is to acquire competencies that allow students to independently carry out engineering analysis of the most complex technological devices and systems in production and to design advanced control systems for them.

Students who attend the course and pass the exam are able to analyze the control functions of the most complex technological devices and systems in production and design theadvanced control systems. The student acquires competences that allow him to independently carry out engineering analysis of the most complex technological devices and systems in production and to design the advanced control systems for them.

Pneumatic, hydraulic and electric automation systems. Pneumatic systems with pulse width modulation. Energy efficiency of pneumatic systems. Quality of compressed air. Correlation of demand for quality of compressed air and method of realization. Effective filtration of compressed air. Automation of filtering. Advanced vacuum technology in automation.

Teaching activity is conducted through lectures and consultations. Preparation and defense of the scheduled project and passing the final examination. Prerequisite for taking the final examination is to complete and defend the project successfully. The final examination is written and refers to theoretical issues.
