Training students to acquire basic and practical knowledge in the field of graphic production and calculations for graphic products, calculating the required quantity of printing materials as well as all other materials used to produce simple and complex graphic designs for different printing techniques. Present opportunities related to the calculation of individual products when selecting individual and different printing techniques and the advantages and disadvantages of the above procedure in relation to the software calculation of the required data.

After the successful completion of the course students will acquire basic and practical knowledge related to the processes and operations of planning the production of graphic production. It will also provide a detailed insight into how to calculate the amount of certain raw materials needed to produce simple and complex graphic products for different printing techniques. Depending on the chosen printing technology, the printing and materials to be used, students should be able to independently make calculations for a particular product.

Getting to know the basic and process stages of graphic production, calculating the required amount of paper depending on the format of the final product and the printing press, calculating the color consumption, calculating the digital preparation for printing, calculating the time of preparation of the printing form, calculating the sheet fed offset printing, calculating the consumption of the repromaterial for the needs timing offset printing, calculating the time required for printing a particular product - working time of the printing machine, preparation time for machine operation, calculation of the final graphic processing, the time required for the preparation of a particular machine for the final graphic finishing, the caleculation of the spent time for the processing of a particular product, print preparation, offset printing presses and final graphic processing, calculating color consumption in screen printing, calculating for digital printing, flexo printing calculations, calculating for gravure printing, automating the production of graphical calculations and their we will be able to connect with digital workflows, the principle of making calculations.

Lectures, laboratory exercises, Consultations, Seminar paper. The lectures show examples that can explain the process of making calculations in a simpler way. The exercises are used to select examples that can be applied to solving a large number of tasks. Calculations are made for certain graphic products. Practical examples of calculation of graphic products in educational materials and selection of different printing techniques are presented. Students independently approach the development of the given topic of seminar work
