Educational goal:

Acquisition of knowledge about contemporary approaches in technical diagnostics. Development of scientific capabilities, academic and practical skills in the field of technical diagnostics and strategies for maintenance of technical systems. Achieving the ability to use information and communication technologies in the processes of identification, measurement and modeling of diagnostic parameters and processes.

Educational outcome:

Advanced knowledge of technical diagnostics. Ability to independently solve practical and theoretical problems using scientific methods and procedures in the field of technical diagnostics. Mastering creativity with the goal of developing new procedures and technologies to the estimation of working capacity of technical systems. Development of creative and independent judgment of problems in the field of technical diagnostics from the aspect of defining preventive and corrective activities in order to improve the working capacity of technical systems.

Course content:

Procedures of technical diagnostics. Methods and means of technical diagnostics. Models of diagnostics of technical condition. Technical diagnostics of the state of the system. Vibration diagnostics. Noise diagnostics. Infrared thermography. Diagnostics of oil. Automation and organization of technical diagnostics. Formation of standards of technical diagnostics. Organization of diagnostic control. Robotization of technical diagnostics. Automatic systems for controlling the working ability of the technical system. Management of technical diagnostics. System approach to maintenance. Concepts and methodologies of maintenance. Intelligent maintenance. Automation of maintenance. Maintenance reengineering. Maintenance management.

Teaching methods:

Lectures, study research work and consultations. The lectures provide a theoretical part of the material using modern equipment and information and communication technologies. Through lectures, a student acquires and mastered contemporary scientific knowledge, scientific methods and procedures that enable him to become independent research work. In addition to lectures, consultations are also held regularly. Study research work includes all forms of teaching that are in the function of directly training a student for research, writing scientific papers and making a doctoral dissertation. Study research work includes active monitoring of primary scientific sources, organization and execution of numerical simulations and experimental research.
