Developing the ability to think, articulate and design different types of housing, with a particular emphasis on complex and heterogeneous conditions in contemporary cities and their impact on changes and transformations of residential buildings and complexes

Ability for independent and group work on establishing connections and understanding the relationship between social and spatial context and housing, through the process of researching and designing residential buildings and complexes.

Housing as one of the dominant forms of change of contemporary cities; Different levels and lines of transformation and development of residential buildings from individual to collective, from unit to complex, from spatial to infrastructural; The role of housing as a place that reflects the values and ideals of the society in which it emerges; An analysis of historical predecessors and an understanding of the forces and relations that lead to specific spatial forms; Understanding the relationship between: city and building; individual and collective; private and public domain
