The main objective of the course is to familiarize students with theories and doctrine, basic concepts, principles and regulations in the field of architectural heritage renewal and protection.

Basic knowledge of doctrine, principles and laws in the field of cultural heritage (archaeological sites, cultural monuments, landmarks, and spatial cultural-historical areas). Principles of architectural and urban planning and design in protected areas and under special conditions.

The notion of architectural heritage and cultural property; Basic concepts in the field of the architectural heritage protection; History of the architectural heritage protection in the world and in Serbia; Doctrine and principles of the protection - the concept of authenticity; Study of architectural heritage-methods; Auxiliary disciplines; Types of cultural goods; Legal protection of architectural heritage; Principles of planning and design in protected areas; Industrial heritage issues
