Educational goal:
Understanding of ideas of sustainable development when applied to architectural objects and spatial complexes.
Educational outcome:
Ability to independently and in group study examples, principles, concepts and technical and technological solutions in the domain of designing architectural objects, complexes and spatial units, with special emphasis on the ideas of sustainable development.
Course content:
Space-time as a framework of architecture. Global spatial level - characteristics, phenomena, hazards. The concept of sustainable development. Architecture and Sustainable Development. Energy efficiency. Renewable sources of energy. Alternative power sources - options and limitations. Sustainable development and program in architecture. Sustainable development and architectural form.

Lectures, exercises, consultations, oral exam.
