Introducing students to the field of esports, i.e. professional video gaming in controlled conditions. Introduce students with technological basics for the development of this fast growing industry, as well as business and legal aspects of this field. Introducing students with technologies and platforms for developing software solutions in this field.
After successfully completing the course students have an understanding of business, legal and technological aspects of esports. Students are familiar with esports enabling technologies. They are able to participate in the development of software solutions that provide support for esports.
History of esports. Business aspects of esports. Legal challenges and ethics of esports. Esports enabling technologies (virtual reality systems, augmented reality, video on demand - VoD, stremaing services, search engines, gaming platforms, blockchain, cryptocurrencies and payments in esport platforms.
