Obtaining knowledge required for application of network security technologies and understanding of the problems in computer network security.

Upon the successful completion of the course the student (1) understands the problems in network security, (2) understands basic concepts of computer network protection (3) has knowledge required for application of network protection technologies.

(1) introduction to security of computer networks, (2) types of attacks on computer networks and phases of an attack, (3) denial of service attacks, (4) SQL attacks, (5) network protection systems, (6) privacy and anonymity on the Internet (7) hardware attacks.

Lectures, additional forms of teaching and consultations. Theoretical foundations are taught on lectures. Practical skills are acquired through additional forms of teaching. Interaction with students realized through consultations.
