The aim of the subject is to develop knowledge of basic design and SCADA control concepts of pipeline systems for transport and distribution of fluids. Introduction to basic technologies and architecture of industrial systems for transport of oil and gas.
Mastering the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to understand the organization and key-tasks of of the fluid transport and distribution telemetry system. Understanding the mettering/regulation equipment and safety requirements.
Introduction to the pipeline systems and their classification. Basics of pipeline transport. Design and control principles. Basic concepts of SCADA supervision and control. Metering and regulation equipment. Tracking down the technological state of a pipeline system. Real-world examples. Security aspects of exploitation of pipelines as critical infrastructure.
