Educational goal:

Improvement of theoretical knowledge, competencies and skills in the field of environmental engineering and detailed theoretical and applied analysis of key physical and chemical parameters in environmental engineering.

Educational outcome:

Acquiring necessary level of knowledge, skills and competencies of multidisciplinary field of environmental engineering with a specific theoretical and applicative analysis of physical-chemical characteristics, the dominant process in the field of environmental engineering.

Course content:

Introduction to applied analysis of physico-chemical characteristics and parameters which are dominant in the field of environment protection. Interface surface phenomena of heterogeneous systems. Chemical and physical adsorption and energy characteristics of adsorption. Absorption. Kinetics of physico-chemical reactions. Kinetics of photo-chemical reactions. Emerging substances. Macro-molecules. Biomacromolecules. Nanomolecules. Cluster systems of organic molecules. Fullerenes, endohedral and egzohedral molecules. Nano phenomena and nano technologies. Supramolecules and supramolecular systems.
