Acquiring knowledge, competencies and academic skills related to the application of life cycle assessment in the field of energy. Development of creative abilities and mastering specific practical skills connected to life cycle assessment in the field of energy.

Ability to solve specific problems related to application of life cycle assessment in the field of energy. Mastering the methods, procedures and processes of applying acquired knowledge from the life cycle assessment in the field of energy. Development of skills for applying life cycle assessment in the field of energy. Ability to critically and self-critical thinking and approaches to solving problems by applying life cycle assessment in the field of energy.

Concepts and definitions in the field of life cycle assessment; Basic principles of life cycle assessment; Life cycle assessment methodology (with emphasis on LCI and LCIA models); Application of life cycle assessment in the field of energy; The role of life cycle assessment in the identification of green energy; Life cycle assessment and labels on environmental protection.

Teaching is done with modern didactic means and methods, interactively in the form of lectures and computer exercises. In addition to lectures and exercises, consultations are also held regularly. The lectures show the theoretical part of the material accompanied by characteristic examples for easier understanding of the subject matter. Computer exercises comprise practical application of the acquired knowledge using information and communication technologies and specialized software.
