Educational goal:

Acquiring wide and in-depth knowledge of the position, character, types and meanings of performing space, focusing on the complexity, syncretism and controversies of the performming space during theatre and art history of the 20th century.

Educational outcome:

Proficiency in independent research, as well as creative, theoretical and critical thinking and practical use of space in performing arts.

Course content:

Types and forms of performing events. Types and forms of performing spaces. Dramatic, directing and acting space – analysis and critiques. Performing spaces – typology and phenomenology. Functions of performing space. Dramaturgy of performing space. Establishing of performing space. Articulation of performing space. Forms, types and exploitation of performing space. Reading, inscription and evaluation of performing space.

Teaching methods:
