Educational goal:

Enabling students for innovative, creative, practical and theoretically based approaches to conceptual reflection through sound as primary means of expression.

Educational outcome:

Students’ ability for advanced and innovative decission making in the area of creating sound image, as well as sound analysis used as means of expression in art work.

Course content:

Audio system as art tool. Human and sound – parameters of sound perception. Spacial dimensions of sound and sound image. Sinestetic parameters of sound. Descriptive and expressive role of sound. Sound symbols as means of sound design. Sound as drama representation. Sound as means of interaction. Architecture of sound – scenic sound and performance space. Sound desing in performing arts. Sound design in multimedia art. Sound dramaturgy and perception of audio-visual art work. „Sound for music“ and „music sound“. Quality evaluation of sound image.

Lectures, workshop, creative work within a workshop, project.
