Educational goal:

Establishing a in-depth knowledge of the practices of scene design in theatre. Establishment and development of the highest level of artistic ability and professional work in the field of scenography, including all the creative components of the field.

Educational outcome:

Proficient poetical ability and practical knowledge of scenography, performing space and scene design in theatre.

Course content:

Scene design as expanded scenography. Structure of the scene. Scene resources and creative processes. Articulation of the performing space. Set design. Costume design. Sound design. Visual design. Time design. Design of the unified scene setting. Relation between audience and performing spaces. Relation between audience and performers. Author's approaches to design in theatre.

Teaching methods:

Lectures, critical analysis of artwork, workshop, creative work within a workshop, project.
