Understanding the concepts and methods of virtualization and Cloud Computing, as well as mastering application programming techniques that work in Cloud Computing.
Students gain advanced knowledge of the design and implementation of virtual services and cloud computing systems and master the techniques of programming appropriate applications. The acquired knowledge has usage in practical application and course "Application of high performance computing in information engineering".
Cloud computing (concepts, methods, technologies). Service-oriented architectures. Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). Virtualization (concepts, methods, technologies). Virtual services and applications. Data storage and security in cloud computing. Distributed file systems. Programming applications in the cloud. High performance computing in the cloud.
Lectures, computer practice. Consultations. The examination prerequisites consists of four tests and one complex exercise. The final examination test the theoretical part of the course material. The number of points for obtaining a signature is 30.
