Educational goal:

Acquiring basic knowledge related to the process of sound design for an animated film. The main goal of the course is to enable students to independently create sound content for an animated film, and the acquired knowledge can be successfully applied to sound design for a feature film, radio drama, sound sculpture and video game. Emphasis is on the use of sound editing programs (Audio Sequencer) and sound libraries.

Educational outcome:

Acquiring knowledge and ability to 1) recognize different styles of applied music and sound effects; (2) design different sound image styles; (3) apply and acquire various practical and theoretical knowledge in this field in order to develop a critical understanding of sound dramaturgy in animated film. Students will acquire the ability to independently design sound for animated film and audio-drama, using archive sound effects (sound library).

Teaching methods:

Lectures and exercises in the computer laboratory. Consultations. Computer exercises are based on mastering computer programs for recording, processing and implementing sound and sound effects in computer animation, using the program: Adobe Audition. Pre-examination obligations - Students are required to do 3 projects, which earns them the right to take the exam. Exam - Verification of theoretical knowledge through a test.
