Gaining of theoretical and practical knowledge, competencies and skills in domain of modern systems for plastic processing. Introduction with production lines, equipment and auxiliary systems for the plastics processing of, as well as the technical and technological characteristics and constructions of certain types of machines and devices for plastic processing.

Mastering theoretical and practical aspects related to modern systems for plastic proceedings. The knowledge gained from this course allows identification, design and exploitation of working systems for plastic proceedings. Development of skills and competences necessary for maintenance of industrial plants for plastic processing.

Introduction to modern systems for plastic processing. Structure of the systems for plastic processing. Exploitation characteristics of the systems for plastic processing in the function of technology. The systems for plastic processing by extrusion technology – elements and configuration. Lines for extrusion of PVC tubes. Injection molding systems for plastic pressing, individual machine and equipment, design of injection and clamping unit. Axillary equipment for injection molding (storages, draying, mixing, blending, material transport). The systems for compression and transfer molding. The systems for blow molding of packaging. The systems for plastic processing by thermoforming . The systems for rubber processing. Automation of processing systems for plastic part production. Application of computers and advances methods for design of plastic processing systems, modeling and simulation methods. Designing of individual machine and devices for plastic processing.

Lectures are realized interactively through lectures, laboratory and computer practical classes. In lectures theoretical part is presented with characteristic examples for better understanding of subject content. Acquired knowledge is practically applied in laboratory practical classes by the application of available laboratory equipment. Computer exercises comprise the use of specialized software packages for design of elements of the systems for plastic processing as well as simulation of technological processes and material handling. Practical and detailed introduction to certain types of machines for plastic processing is also done through visits to specialized companies. Apart from lectures and practical classes, consultations are held regularly.
