After completing the course and passing the exam, the student will be able to: 1. Analyze the data on organic and inorganic water contamination. 2. Plan the environmental monitoring. 3. List and describe the sources of water contamination. 4. List and describe remediation technologies and processes. 5. Process and interpret the experimental results.

Water quality in aquatic systems. Sources and effects of contaminants. Toxic substances and their effects. Inorganic contaminants in aquatic systems. Organic contaminants in aquatic systems. Environmental monitoring in aquatic systems. Remediation technologies and processes. Process and interpret the experimental results.

Lectures. Laboratory and Computing Practice. Consultations – individual and group. During the semester, students are required to attend lectures, laboratory and computing classes. After successfully realized examination prerequisites, students take the final exam in written (computing part) and oral form (theoretical part).
