Training students in fundamental areas of expert knowledge and practical application.
The acquired knowledge is used as the basis for further development in specialized subjects.
Fundamentals of hydrology and hydrometry. Physical and chemical properties of liquids. Hydrostatics, monitoring well, gauge, absolute, atmospheric and hydrostatic pressure. Forces applied to flat and complex surfaces, the fluid pressure on the walls of the pipes and tanks. Hydro-kinematics, flow velocity, flow, continuity equation, Steady flow energy equation for for ideal and real fluids. Aapplication of Bernoulli's equation. Flow in pipes, line and local losses of mechanical energy. Steady flow in conductors with free surface. Uniform steady free surface flow. Chezy - Manning equation, Flow Profile Classification "mild", "steep", "critical". Nonuniform flow with free surface, transient regime. Fundamentals of groundwater Flow, Darcy's Equation.
Classes are held in form of interactive lectures. Lectures presents the theoretical part of the material accompanied by characteristic examples to facilitate understanding of the material. In addition to lectures regularly held of consultations. Presentations of the lectures are available in electronic form. Part of the material, which seems logical units, may be taken in the course of the teaching process through tests. Colloquium shall be written in the form of the test.
