Acquiring higher level knowledge in the field of design of transport systems.

Higher level of competence for design work in the field of transport systems.

Course content:

Steps in design and development: forming the project demands, choice of structural form, solution working out. Regulatory, design license. Project documentation, regulations and procedures of standard calculation methods. Global and fragmental analysis of the stress state using the computer software. Synthesis criteria: technologibility, transport, mounting, dynamic strength, resistance to corrosion. Structural design and optimization, transport, mounting, inspection, control, supervision, testing. Integration of modern software packages in individual phases of design (CATIA, KRASTA, ADAMS, Inventor Professional, NASTRAN In-CAD, Tecnomatix, NX). Directions of development.

Teaching methods:

Lectures and practice. Prerequisite for taking the final examination is successfully completed and defended project tasks.
