Educational goal:

Introduction with the basic concepts and issues of modeling and simulation of processes and devices in mechanization and machine design. Application of programming package MATLAB in modeling and simulation of processes and devices in mechanization and machine design.

Educational outcome:

Ability of solving practical problems in analysis and synthesis/design of mechanical systems in mechanization and machine design using programming package MATLAB.

Course content:

Modeling and simulations in mechanization and machine design. Theoretical basics of modeling and simulations in mechanization and machine design. Forming of kinematic and dynamic models of mechanical components and assemblies in mechanization devices. Methodology of modeling processes and devices in mechanization and machine design. Numerical methods for modeling and simulation. Computer aided problem solving - using MATLAB, SIMULINK.

Teaching methods:

Class forms: lectures, graphic and computer practical classes, consultations.
