Educational goal:

A specialist engineer of management should demonstrate increased research capability in the case of new or still unknown problems in the subject area, matching acquired knowledge and skills in solving a more complex problem, as well as the possibility to monitor and adopt innovations and results of research

Educational outcome:

A specialist engineer of management improves previously acquired knowledge with the knowledge and skills that provide him better performance in the workforce market and acquired competences enable him employment in research and development centers and institutes, companies or own business. Students-specialists in the mentioned sub-categories can independently or in the team solve the most complex problems, as they deepen the previously acquired academic knowledge and skills, understanding and abilities. They are trained to solve complex problems. They independently research, process data obtained by research, make conclusions, write and defend results of thesis.

Course content:

Through the preparation and defens of specialist thesis students are specialized in the narrower scientific field that is subject of their academic specialization and gain the title of a graduate engineer in the field of specialist studies. The specialist engineer of management has deepened his academic theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in the selected narrower scientific field and become familiar with accepted methodology in the academic environment for solving more complex problems and is able to apply them independently and creatively in solving problems that will appear in practice.

Teaching methods:

After the aacceptance of the application of the specialist thesis the candidate with supervision of the mentor approaches the preparation of the thesis that should be carried out in accordance with the realization plan definied in the application. The candidate in the laboratory and / or in the field independently works on the practical aspects of the problem that should be solved. Candidate additionaly consults mentor in terms of the work plan an its content, dynamics of realization or additional literature sources.
