Educational goal:

To present comprehensive knowledge and applicable methodologies as well as technological tools, both hardware and software, in field of digital transformation which will enable students/learners to gain deep insights into importance of digital transformation in business, by implementation of technology-driven management, product and service development, project management, human and talent management and business innovation.

Educational outcome:

Students/learners will be able to map the level of digital readiness within a business or a company, to select an applicable business model for digital transformation throughout organizational structure – horizontally and vertically, to outline the most efficient technological solutions and platforms that will enable digital transformation within a business or a company, to draft digital transformation road map of a business or a company in various industries, preparing students/learners to participate and lead different segments of digital transformation enabled to anticipate future trends in technological development of different platforms, tools and technological infrastructure.

Course content:

Introduction to Digital transformation – industrial revolutions and technological innovations throughout human history; Platforms and enablers of digital transformation – tools and tech infrastructure which enable digital transformation such as: social platforms (for communication and collaboration, content and digital media technologies, customer support and customer relationship management, human resources and talent management etc.), mobile technology (5G, virtual and augmented reality, wearables, connected car solutions, smartphones and applications etc.), analytics (big data, business analytics software, data integration, data brokers and marketplaces, IoT data management etc.), cloud computing (SaaS, IaaS, data centers, industry cloud platforms, security solutions etc.); Tech infrastructure with applications and case studies such as 3D printing, Internet of things (IoT), Cognitive systems and Artificial intelligence (AI), robotics and automatization, digital security and data privacy.

Teaching methods:

Lectures with workshops. Within workshops, students/learners will be stimulated to work within small groups, analyzing digital readiness of a specific company using established methodologies and computer simulations.
