The objective of the course is to provide students with basic knowledge of the advanced methods and techniques of the Lean approach that are used today in modern production and service systems. Acquired knowledge will enable students to independently engage in research in this field.
After completing the curriculum requirements and passing the exam, students will be able to independently perform system analysis, select the necessary parameters and system elements, in which they will be able to apply the appropriate Lean methods and techniques they have mastered in order to improve the system.
Basics Lean. Methods and Techniques Lean. Lean assessment tool. Methods of process optimization. Kaizen (Continuous Improvement). PDCA. Problem solving in 8 steps (8-step process of problem solving). Toyota KATA. Hoshin Kanri (Developing Company Policies). Key Performance Indicators. SMART Goals. Bottleneck. Analysis JIT Theory and Practice. 3M and 8 Great Losses. Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Value Flow Stream Mapping. Power of Lean - team work.
Lectures: (Mentor with the student selects one or more modules depending on the volume.) Consultation. Lectures are delivered in combination. Theoretical part of the subject-matter is followed by examples due to clarify this part of the curriculum. Lectures and consultations are held regularly. Through the study research work, scientific journals and other literature student independently broadens the knowledge presented at lectures. In addition to working with the teacher, students are trained to write their own scientific and research articles.
