Introducing students with the most frequent hazardous events in the region and environmental variables of significant impacts on hazard phenomena.
Acquiring basic knowledge about natural and technological hazards as well as the impacts of catastrophic events on the exposed population and the environment.
The course represents the analysis of the hazards phenomena that impact environment and exposed population.The processes of occurrence and distribution of catastrophic events in the environment are described, as well as the influence of environmental variables on the disaster consequences. Part of the course is devoted to the basics of the disaster risk management cycle.
Lectures, practical exercises and consultations.
