Subject: Planning and inventory management (17.IM2619 )

The subject introduces students to the basics underlying stock plans, especially stocks of raw materials, finished goods and spare parts for its own products and service to maintain our own production equipment. In addition to stock plans, students will be presented methods of inventory management and warehouse management as well.
After completing courses and passing the exam, students will be able to develop plans need to stock raw materials, spare parts to service own products and spare parts for the maintenance of their own production equipment. In addition to this, students will be able to manage inventory and the synchronization of the current situation and condition of inventories in the plan. During inventory management, students will be able to identify storage costs for each item, as well as storage in general. Also, students will be trained in identifying losses in storage and inventory management, implementing kaizen activities with the objective of eliminating the identified losses.
Inventories as a strategic advantage or disadvantage, inventory cost, inventory management model, JIT, lean manufacturing and supply, the necessary data for inventory management, inventory planning. Identifying losses on inventory management (7 +1 Toyota losses) and kaizen activities to eliminate them and for improvement.
Lectures, exercises, consultations. The exam is written.
