The aim of the course is (1) to familiarize students with the requirements of international standards, legal requirements and best practices and thereby create the conditions for successful analysis and assessment requirements, objectives, activities, resources, cost, time, and other important elements of the project life-cycle and (2) to train engineering management to identify critical points in the project, significant risks and conflicts, assess the project at all stages and propose suggestions to improve. Management engineers must be trained to audit the project and thus identify problems or deficiencies prior to the project - when the project is only written, during the project and at the end of the project when it is necessary to determine whether and to what extent the project has achieved the objectives defined in given time and within the defined budget.

After completing and passing the courses, students will be trained to objectively review the project or elements of the project, identify critical points in the project, identify conflicts and define proposals for the elimination of these inconsistencies.

The concept and importance of the project review. The main project review process. Internationally recognized standards for Project Management (PMI, PRINCE2, KOBIT, ISO 10006, ISO 21500, ISO 27000 ...). Business Standards and regulations - the limitations of the project. Project review criteria. Classification and types of audits. Identification of critical points. The purpose of the project and compliance with business and regulatory requirements. Analysis of competence teams. Determining the status of the project and relationships with stakeholders. Identification and assessment of cost variances. Comparative analysis - the effort, the results, the funds spent. Analysis of the procurement project. Analysis of the results in relation to its requirements and existing constraints.

The method of teaching is based multimedia lectures and computer exercises. Lectures provide the framework for the problem, analyze the facts and theoretical approaches, computer exercises and the teaching is done through the use of computers and the Internet for finding and analyzing the requirements, rules, directives and standards recognized in the EU and beyond. The method of teaching implies that at least forty percent of the time sanctify the active participation of students and the teaching performance of the work in organizations with significant experience in project implementation.
