Educational goal:

The aim of the course is that students learn the steps of goal-oriented project management and to be able to use a logical framework for planning, management, control and implementation.

Educational outcome:

Students acquire the necessary knowledge, through the analysis of project requirements and identify the major problems implementing the planning, management and control of the project to ensure the success of the project.

Course content:

Setting goals and requirements of the project; Approach to planning, principles of planning and boundary conditions; Previous research environment, research available resources and financial conditions; Analysis of contractual requirements and conditions of the project implementation; The procedures and methods of planning; Creating a project plan with defined activities, resources, time, cost; Identification and assessment of project risks; Planning the distribution of information to project participants and stakeholders; Monitoring and management of the project; Leadership styles in managing the project; Establishing a system for collecting, storing and updating data from the project; Establishing a system for data distribution; Intervention in case of the nonconformity in the project; Comparison of planned settings to the commission in scope, time, resources and financial results; The final score of the project in terms of effectiveness and efficiency.

Teaching methods:

Teaching includes lectures and auditory exercises. Lectures provide theoretical frameworks and approaches the problem. Practical exercises will provide students opportunities to solve concrete examples in the form of an interactive workshop , whereby each participant in the team has a specific role. During the semester, students work required paper work. The requirement for taking the final exam is finished paper work.
